Design Concept
The name The Steps refers to the distinctive stepped silhouette of the two buildings, which seem to rise naturally from the park landscape. This architectural form creates a light and friendly composition that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. At the same time, the name symbolises the step residents take towards a new way of living — one that combines peace, light and nature with the vibrancy of the nearby city. The Steps offers a contemporary residential environment surrounded by greenery, perfectly connected to both Rijswijk and The Hague.
Architecture
The architecture is carefully detailed and reflects the characteristic style of the neighbourhood. The two buildings vary in height, ranging from three to seven storeys that step back gradually, creating a soft, elegant roofline and a dynamic silhouette. The façades feature light earthy tones accented by pale concrete bands and cantilevered balconies.
Recesses, roof terraces and all-sided façade design give The Steps a refined, timeless appearance. Every apartment offers views of greenery, water or the landscaped courtyard, making The Steps a calm and attractive place to live.
